Initial Sync Instructions for the Polycom SP

Alert.png Please make sure the Polycom that you are using is up to date as listed on this page.

In order to sync the Polycom Soundpoint or Soundstation you will need to start with Factory settings.

If you would like to factory reset your Polycom:

Factory Reset

Press Menu on your Polycom phone.

Navigate to Settings -> Advanced. You will be prompted for a password. The default is 456, but this may have been changed by your administrator.
From Admin Settings, navigate to Reset to Default. Choose the appropriate setting from above either Reset Local Configuration (recommended), Reset Web Configuration (also recommended) Reset Device Settings, or Format File System


For most phones this means:


Hit the Menu button
3. Settings
2. Advanced
456 {password} Hit the Enter soft key at the bottom
1. Admin Settings
5. Reset to Defaults...
Choose reset option from the list


For the key combination:


Press and hold certain key combinations (depending on the phone model) simultaneously during the countdown process in the bootROM until the password prompt appears:

For these models: IP 301, 501, 550, 600, 601, and 650, and 670 4, 6, 8 and * dial pad keys
For these models: IP 320, 321, 330, 331, 335, 430, 450, 560, 7000 1, 3, 5, and 7 dial pad keys




Provisioning Server

To Provision your phone, there are 2 choices, you can set the settings on the phone itself or go through the GUI from an internet browser to add all the information.



• During your phone bootup, select the SETUP softkey when given the option.
• The phone will then prompt you for your password. If you have not changed it, the default password is 456. Otherwise, enter the password that you have set on your phone.
• Select the DHCP Menu from the list and then select Boot Server and ensure that it is set to STATIC.
• Now press the EXIT softkey and select SERVER MENU from the list.

To Sync your device to our service, please log in to your device from your browser with your private IP.
Then, go to the Settings tab and down to Provisioning Server.

On the Provisioning Server page, please input these values:

Server type:

Server Address:

provision.phonepower.com:4190

Server User:

Your Account Username

Server password:

Hardware ID This is in your Order email that was sent out to you.
If you have misplaced it, you will need to ask our technicians for the Voip Adapter ID.
