How to use Sub-VoiceMail boxes
- Your Phone Power account comes with a Primary VoiceMail box, and the option of using up to 9 Sub-VoiceMail boxes.
The Sub-VoiceMail box is a feature which allows you to setup individual VoiceMail boxes.
For example: If you live in a household of 5 people, you can set up 5 different Sub-VoiceMail boxes for each person to receive individual messages. Callers will hear a main outgoing message, then be given the option to dial the number assigned to each individual VoiceMail box.
Each Sub-VoiceMail box will have its own dedicated outgoing message and password PIN for privacy.
You can assign up to 9 Sub-VoiceMail boxes (assigned as number 1 through 9)
Your Primary VoiceMail box (assigned as number 0).
How to setup the sub-mailboxes
•In order to setup Sub-VoiceMail boxes, you will need to access the main VoiceMail.
• Pick up your phone and dial *21.
• Enter your main PIN when prompted.
Now you will be logged into the main VoiceMail box.
• Press the number 9 key for the Options menu.
• Press the number 6 for the Create and Manage Sub-VoiceMail boxes menu.
Next, you will need to assign each of your Sub-VoiceMail boxes an Identifying Number.
• Press the number 1 to Add a Sub-VoiceMail box.
• Enter the number you wish to assign to the Sub-VoiceMail box, followed by the Pound(#) key.
• The default PIN for this Sub-VoiceMail box is: 1111
- When you access the Sub-VoiceMail box for the first time, it will ask you to update your PIN and your Sub-VoiceMail box Outgoing Message. Should you need to have the PIN for a sub mailbox reset, you will need to contact technical support to have this done..
To access the Sub-VoiceMail box:
• Pick up your phone and dial *21.
• You will need to select which Sub-VoiceMail box to access.
• Enter in the Sub-VoiceMail box's number that you wish to access (from 1 - 9)
• Next, enter in the PIN for the Sub-VoiceMail box then press the Pound (#) key.
• You are now in the Sub-VoiceMail box, press 1 to listen to your VoiceMails.
• Press 3 to play all messages that are in the Sub-VoiceMail box.
To remove the Sub-VoiceMail box:
• Pick up your phone and dial *21.
• Press the number 0 and enter in the main VoiceMail PIN then press the Pound (#) key.
• Now you will be logged into the Main VoiceMail box.
• Press the number 9 key for the Options menu.
• Press the number 6 for the Create and Manage Sub-VoiceMail boxes menu.
• Press the number 2 to remove a Sub-VoiceMail box,
• Enter in the numbered Sub-VoiceMail box you wish to Remove.
• Press the number 1 to confirm (or press 2 to cancel)
The Sub-VoiceMail box is now removed.
