Connect a telephone cord from your phone directly to Phone 1 on your Grandstream HT-502 phone adapter

You can now connect power to your Grandstream HT-502 phone adapter.

After your Grandstream HT-502 phone adapter has powered up you can re-connect power to your router.

Now that we have everything connected properly we will need to configure your router so that it does not interfere with the phone adapters normal operation.

We will need the phone adapters internal IP address.
To get the phone adapters internal IP address you will need to pick up the handset of the phone (if you are using a cordless phone please press Talk) and dial * * * 02 at which point the phone adapter will speak its internal IP address.

If you missed the internal IP address you can dial # 02 and it will repeat the Iinternal IP address.

Write down the internal IP address of the phone adapter. You will need it in the steps to come.

Now that you have the internal IP address of your phone adapter you will need to locate the make and model of your router.

Once you have the make and model of your router please find and follow the steps specific to that device in our Customer Provided Routers section.

If you dont see the make or model of your router in our list of Customer Provided Routers not to worry. Call toll free to (888)607-6937 option 3 for technical support and one of our technicians will be more then happy to assist you further.
