CPBX-Configuring a Hunt Group

To configure a Hunt Group you will need to log into your account using the Administrator credentials.

• Once you have logged in click on Hunt Group and select Add Hunt Group from the drop down.

• Name your Hunt Group
• Set Login Available options.
• Set Queuing Available options.
• Select a Distribution Type
• Set the No-Answer Exclusion Time
• Set the No-Answer Timeout
• Click Create Hunt Group

• Under Add New Pilot Number you will need to "Name" your Pilot Number
• Select the Pilot Number from the Number drop down
• Give the Hunt Group and extension number that isn't currently being used by anything else (in this example we are using 2900)
• Click the box next to List in Attendant Directory
• Click the box next to Voicemail
• Click “Add Pilot Number”

The pilot number will now appear in the Pilot Number List


Note: If you give your Hunt Group an extension you MUST access the Hunt Group by either the 14 digit phone number or by the extension. To access the Hunt Group by the 14 digit phone number you can either point a Virtual Number, or set up call forwarding, to the 14 digit phone number of the Hunt Group. You can also send callers to the Hunt Group by transferring the call to the extension from an Auto Attendant

• In the Add Agent section, select, and Add all the phone numbers that you want to be part of this Hunt Group.

• All the agents that are part of this Hunt Group will now be listed in the Agent List



Your Hunt Group is now configured and ready for use.
