CPBX Virtual Fax
You might have opted in to get an eFax service, or vFax. What is enabled you to do is send faxes via your online portal, and receive fax via your email. We will need to do some configurations within the Cloud PBX portal first to get this working.

Verify
You will need to make sure you have the the correct fax service on your account. To verify follow these instructions:
1. Login to your CPBX account.
2. Click on "Lines" in the navigation bar.
3. Look for the words "Fax Service" located under any of your extensions.
If it's there, continue to the next step.
Create a User Login
To be able to access the vFax service page you will need to create a user account that'll be assigned that that vFax service. To do so, please follow the instructions below:
1. Click on "Logins" at the top navigation bar.
2. Click on the + sign right next to "User Selection"
3. You'll get a window that pops up That asks for some information. The username has to be unique to our whole system. Make sure the user level is set to "user". Take note of all the information you have set on here.
Assign the User to an Extension
You will now need to assign the user you have just created. This is to let the system know what to display for the user, when the user logs in. Follow these instructions:
1. Click on the user to make sure it's highlighted blue.
2. Click on the drop down arrow, then "Assign User".
3. Make sure to assign the user the correct extensions. The correct extension can be verified by following the "Verify" section of this article.
4. Click on "Assign"
Login to user Interface
You will now need to login to the user login you have just created. To do so please follow the instructions below.
1. Log out of the current account your are signed in to. Do so by clicking on "Settings" at the top right, then click "Log out".
2. Using the details you setup in the initial creating of the user, log in with that information.
Sending Faxes
You will now be prompted a blue button called "Send fax".
Click on that button, attach a file, and click send. You have now successfully sent a fax out.
Receiving Faxes
To receive a fax you will need to setup the email address you want it sent to. Keep in mind that if someone sends you a fax it will also be stored within the voicemail, which you can access by logging in to the user account you created.
Click on "Voicemail" on the top navigation bar. If you look at the image to the left you can see where the setting to add the email address is located at.
Once you added, you are ready to start receiving Faxes.
