Straight to voicemail

From PhonePower Knowledge Base
Jump to: navigation, search

Most offten this is caused by an interruption in the phone adapters ability to communicate with our network.

• First we need to determine that the phone you are using is plugged into Phone1 of your phone adapter.

• Secondly we need to ensure that your phone adapter has a clear line of communication with our network.

• Ensure your phone adapter is connected to your network properly (You can double check HERE)
• If your phone adapter is connected behind a router ensure that it has been configured not to interfere with the VOIP communications by setting up port forwarding or DMZ access
• After we have made sure its connected correctly and your network is configured properly we will need to restart your phone adapter to allow it to properly download a new configuration file

If you are able to make calls out but all your incoming calls are still going to voicemail you will want to check your Call Forwarding setting in your MyAccount portal.

On your MyAccount click on Call Forwarding and make sure that you arent forwarding your incoming calls directly to voicemail or to another phone number. If you are transferring the call to another number but its going directly to voicemail it means there is a problem with transferring the call to that outside number.

Change your Call Forwarding settings to ring your PhonePower phone number and try placing a call into that number from another phone to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
