To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.
For the first step in this process, we will need to find out the current IP Address being assigned to your Grandstream by your router. Please refer to How to Receive the IP Address on a Grandstream for information.
Now, connect your computer directly to your router, and open up a web browser and login to the router.
- If you do not know how to log into your router, please refer to the user's manual for your router for information on how to login.
Once you are logged in, Go to the Port Forwarding or Virtual Server section of the router. This is usually in the Firewall settings or an Advanced section of the router.
Once you are on the Port Forwarding page, create a new rule and set up the ports to forward as follows:
- Start Port : 5004
- End Port : 5061
- Protocol : UDP only
- If the router asks for a Base Port, use 5060.
- Use the IP address that you received from the Grandstream in the first step of this process to have these ports directed too.
Save the settings once that is complete.
You will need to reboot the Grandstream device for this to take effect. Simply remove the power cord from the back of the Grandstream, wait 20 seconds, and put it back in. After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.
If you are unable to place a call after 15 minutes, please contact our support department for additional assistance.
