How to Configure a Westell 6100F to function with the Grandstream
To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.
For the first step in this process, we will need to find out the current
IP Address
being assigned to your Grandstream by your
router
. Please refer to

Now, connect your computer directly to the LAN port of the Grandstream, and open up a web browser and navigate to
http://192.168.1.1

Once you are logged in, click on
Firewall settings
.
Click on
DMZ
Hosting
.
- Enable the
DMZ
host and set the
IP address
to the
IP address
that we received in the first step of this process.
Save the settings.
Now, go to
http://192.168.2.1
and log into the Grandstream with password
123
.
- Once on the Status page, click on
Basic Settings
.
- Scroll down the page a little ways until you see
Statically Configured as
and select the radio button for it.
- set the
IP address
to the
IP address
that you received in the first step of this process.
- set the
Subnet Mask
to 255.255.255.0.
- set the
Default
Router
to 192.168.1.1.
- set the
DNS
Server 1
to 4.2.2.2.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on
Update
, then
Reboot
on the next page.
After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.
