How to Configure an Actiontec M1000 to function with the Grandstream

To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.

For the first step in this process, we will need to Log into your Actiontec M1000.

Connect a computer directly to the Actiontec M1000.

Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.
     - By default user name should be admin and password should be password.

Click on Advanced Setup.

Click on DMZ Hosting on the left menu bar under Security.

On the DMZ Hosting page, select the radio button to the ON position.

In the DMZ Host IP Address place the last value to 200. This should read - 192.168.0.200.

Click Apply.

Now, we need to set the Grandstream to a static IP.  To do so, log into your Grandstream Device.

Connect the computer to the LAN port of the Grandstream.

Open another browser window and in the address bar, type in the IP address 192.168.2.1 and press enter.
  - At the Grandstream log on page, password is 123.

  - Once on the Status page, click on Basic Settings.

  - Scroll down the page a little ways until you see Statically Configured as and select the radio button for it.

 - Set the following to the proper fields:
    - set the IP to 192.168.0.200.
    - set the subnet to 255.255.255.0.
    - set the defualt router to 192.168.0.1.
    - set the DNS Server 1 to 4.2.2.2.

  - Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Update, then click Reboot on the next page.

You will need to reboot the Grandstream device for this to take effect. After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.

If you are unable to place a call after 15 minutes, please contact our support department for additional assistance.
