How to Configure an Actiontec M1000 to function with the Grandstream
To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.
For the first step in this process, we will need to Log into your Actiontec M1000.
Connect a computer directly to the Actiontec M1000.
Open a web browser and go to
http://192.168.0.1
.
- By default user name should be
admin
and password should be
password
.
Click on
Advanced Setup
.
Click on
DMZ
Hosting
on the left menu bar under
Security
.
On the
DMZ
Hosting page, select the radio button to the
ON
position.
In the
DMZ
Host
IP Address
place the last value to 200. This should read -
192.168.0.200
.
Click
Apply
.
Now, we need to set the Grandstream to a static IP. To do so, log into your Grandstream Device.
Connect the computer to the
LAN
port of the Grandstream.
Open another browser window and in the address bar, type in the
IP address
192.168.2.1
and press enter.
- At the Grandstream log on page, password is
123
.
- Once on the Status page, click on
Basic Settings
.
- Scroll down the page a little ways until you see
Statically Configured
as and select the radio button for it.
- Set the following to the proper fields:
- set the IP to
192.168.0.200
.
- set the subnet to
255.255.255.0
.
- set the defualt
router
to
192.168.0.1
.
- set the
DNS
Server 1 to
4.2.2.2
.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on
Update
, then click
Reboot
on the next page.
You will need to reboot the Grandstream device for this to take effect. After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.
