Connecting the Grandstream to your Linksys WRV200 DSL Modem

To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.

For the first step in this process, we will need to find out the current IP Address being assigned to the Grandstream by your device.  Please refer to How to Receive the IP Address on a Grandstream for information.

Once you have the IP Address the is currently being assigned to the Grandstream by your device, we will need to login to your Linksys.

To log into your device, connect a computer directly to one of the ports on your Linksys WRV200.

Open up a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.

Log into your Linksys with the username admin and the password admin.

Once you’re logged in, click on Firewall and disable SIP Application Layer Gateway and save the settings.

*** Note ***
If you do not see the SIP Application Layer Gateway option under Firewall, please make sure you have the most recent firmware update 1.0.39, if not, please visit the following link.

Now, click on DMZ.

  - Enable the DMZ to the IP address that you received from the Grandstream in the first step and click on save settings.

You will need to reboot the Grandstream device for this to take effect. Simply remove the power cord from the back of the Grandstream, wait 20 seconds, and put it back in. After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.

If you are unable to place a call after 15 minutes, please contact our support department for additional assistance.
