To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.
First, we will need to find out the current IP Address being assigned to your Grandstream by your router. Please refer to
How to Receive the IP Address on a Grandstream
for information.
Now, access the modem. Open a browser window and in the address bar, put in
http://192.168.1.1

Now you are at the main page of the modem.
Click on My Networks

- Check for the MAC address of Grandstream.
- Check on the IP address for Grandstream. Match this IP address to the one you received in the first step of this process.

Click Port Forwarding in the left navigation panel.
Click Yes in the pop-up warning window that you understand that changes in this section could affect the device's configuration and performance.

Click Add in the Name column to add a new port forwarding rule or service.
Click on create a new rule.

Select Port Forwarding.
Enter a name for the port forwarding service you're configuring in the Enter a name for the custom service field. You can use any name, though we recommend you call it PhonePower.
Select the protocol, this is only UDP.

Select In or Out to indicate the allowed direction of the connection. "In" represents a connection from the Internet to your computer, while "Out" is for a connection from your computer to the Internet. If you're unsure, selecting "In" will work for most applications.
Enter the Global Port Start, Global Port End, and Base Host Port information.
- Global Port Start: 5004
- Global Port End: 5061
- Base Host Port: 5060
Protocol is UDP only.
*** Note***
- The Direction and Port Direction fields may not be included for your gateway, depending on the version of firmware running on it. If a Port Direction is included, please select both In and Out for the directions.
If you selected "Out" in the previous field, select Src or Dst to indicate whether the outbound port direction is the source or the destination.
Click Apply to save your entries.
Review the port forwarding settings and click Close.
Select Host or Dynamic to control how the port forwarding service is activated.

If you selected "Host" in the previous step, select the computer on your network where this port forwarding service will be applied. You can either select the computer from the drop-down list or enter its IP address. If the Grandstream in not in the drop down list of computers, set the IP address to the IP address that you received from the Grandstream in the first step.
Click Apply to save your entries.

Review the settings for the rule you have created, and click Close.
Close the Westell configuration window to complete the port triggering setup.
You will need to reboot the Grandstream device for this to take effect. Simply remove the power cord from the back of the Grandstream, wait 20 seconds, and put it back in. After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.
