To Configure your device to function with the Grandstream connected to it, please follow these instructions.
For the first step in this process, we will need to find out the current IP Address being assigned to your Grandstream by your router. Please refer to
How to Receive the IP Address on a Grandstream
for information.
Now, connect your computer directly to your router, and open up a web browser and navigate to http://
192.168.0.1
and log into the router.
- Unless you have changed the password, leave it blank and click log in.
Once you are logged in.
- Click on
Advanced
at the top.
- Then click on
Firewall Settings
on the left menu bar.
Click the box next to
SIP
so that the check mark is
NOT
in the box. This will disable the extra firewall.
Click the box next to
Enable DMZ
so that the check mark is in the box.
Click the drop down menu after
DMZ IP
and look for the IP address of the Grandstream that you received in the first step of the process. Select that IP address from the drop down menu and click the button on the left side of the drop down.
After you have changed those settings, click on
Save Settings
at the top of the page.
You will need to reboot the Grandstream device for this to take effect. Simply remove the power cord from the back of the Grandstream, wait 20 seconds, and put it back in. After 5-10 minutes the Grandstream should be registered and online.
If you are unable to place a call after 15 minutes, please contact our support department for additional assistance.
